TYNGSBORO, Mass. (AP) - Police in northeastern Massachusetts are seeking witnesses after three motorcyclists went off the road and crashed at the same time under mysterious circumstances.

Authorities say the motorcycles crashed in Tyngsboro on Lakeview Avenue at about 2 a.m. Saturday. The Lowell Sun reports (http://bit.ly/ZQS4oy ) that two of the three riders were seriously injured and flown by helicopter to hospitals. The third rider was brought to an area hospital by ambulance.

Police say all three motorcyclists are expected to survive, although one was put in a medically induced coma. Officials say the men are in their 20s and 30s and are from Tyngsboro, Fitchburg and Boston. Their names haven’t been released.

Authorities say the men were riding together and crashed for unknown reasons.

State troopers are helping Tyngsboro police with the investigation.
