WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) - A teachers strike in the northern Illinois city of Waukegan is set to continue into a fourth full week.

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1w5whqa ) that Waukegan Community Unit School District 60 has already announced Monday’s classes are canceled.

Negotiations with the Lake County Federation of Teachers are set to resume at 10 a.m. on Monday.

About 17,000 students have been out of class since teachers walked out on Oct. 2.

Both sides have reported some progress, but have failed to agree on salary increases.
