DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - A judge has denied a request to reduce bond for an Iowa man facing vehicular homicide charges in the deaths of four teenagers.

Dubuque District Court Judge Todd Geer wrote in an order made public Thursday that he considered multiple factors when making the decision on 24-year-old Joseph Connolly’s bond. They included the nature of the charges, Connolly’s prior record and the risk of flight.

The Telegraph Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1vF26EC ) Connolly remains held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Connolly, of Holly Cross, faces multiple charges in connection with an August car crash near Epworth in eastern Iowa. Connolly is accused of being intoxicated prior to the crash, which killed four teenagers and injured two others.

Connolly has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
