CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) - A southern New Jersey man has been charged with murdering a man found in a backyard shed with stab wounds in his back.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced the charge Friday against 21-year-old Daniel Jurczyk of Mount Holly.

Fifty-year-old James Conley was found injured but awake and alert last December in a storage shed in Cherry Hill. He told officers that he had accidentally fallen. But an ambulance crew found he had stab sounds in his back.

When he died in June, it was ruled a homicide.

Authorities say that Jurczyk, who was in custody on unrelated charges, admitted to the stabbing.

He is due in court Oct. 10. It’s not clear whether he has a lawyer.
