PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man is in custody in Prescott Valley for allegedly trying to strangle his ex-finacee.

They say 38-year-old Frank Orozco turned himself into Prescott Valley police on Thursday night.

He’s being held in the Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault per domestic violence, aggravated domestic violence and disorderly conduct per domestic violence.

Police say Orozco has two previous felony domestic violence convictions.

Officers responded to a Prescott Valley home on the evening of Sept. 26 and reported finding an injured 36-year-old woman.

The victim says Orozco entered her home in an intoxicated state and they argued.

She says Ozozo allegedly choked her neck and shook her vigorously until she lost consciousness.

She woke up later and called police, but Orozco had fled the scene by then.
