COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a teenage boy was found at a Colorado Springs high school but no foul play was suspected.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (http://tinyurl.com/mxu54a3) the body was found Thursday morning at Doherty High School, prompting officials to shut down the school and summon parents to pick up their children.

Police didn’t disclosed how the boy died. School officials called it an isolated medical emergency and said other students and staff weren’t in danger.

The boy’s name hasn’t been released. School officials say he was a student at Doherty.

The body was found at about 7:30 a.m. It wasn’t immediately clear how many other students were there at the time. Classes start at 7:45 a.m. but some students arrive earlier for tutoring, practice or other activities.
