PHOENIX (AP) - A woman is accused of manslaughter and drug paraphernalia possession after a fatal crash on a west Phoenix highway last month.

Bond was set at $250,000 for 25-year-old Sarah Ashleigh Ramos after her appearance Thursday in Maricopa County Superior Court. She doesn’t have an attorney yet.

Ramos, of Phoenix, was arrested on Aug. 28 after the accident on U.S. 60.

Authorities say Ramos allegedly ran a red light and hit a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Christine Gearhart, who died in the accident.

Phoenix police say Ramos tried to retrieve something from under her seat while she was being extricated from her car.

Officers say they found a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
