EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Catapults capable of hurling a pumpkin up to half a mile are one of the attractions at this weekend’s Pumpkin Hurl and Medieval Faire at Snohomish.

The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1qPQYCU) the festival attracts about 200,000 visitors with some events continuing into November at a group of seven Snohomish Valley farms. They include a 10-acre corn maze and smaller ones for children.
