The Ohio mother of an autistic teenage son says she is demanding justice after a group of classmates dumped a bucket containing urine and feces over his head as a prank.

Diane, the mother of the Bay High School student in Bay Village, said her 15-year-old son was videotaped doing what he thought was the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. What he didn’t know is that the students had filled the bucket with feces, urine, spit and cigarette butts, a local Fox affiliate reported.

“Once we found out about it, we were just horrified,” the mother said. “I want these kids held accountable for what they did to him and they targeted somebody who just didn’t really understand what was going on.”

The station did not identify the family by last name to help protect the boy.

In the video, the boy with autism is seen standing in only his underwear in the driveway of a home off school grounds. The bucket of fluid is poured over him from the roof of the garage. His family says they want the video to remain public to help raise awareness about bullying, the Fox affiliate reported.

“He was embarrassed because he did not know what the contents were until afterwards and then he didn’t want anybody to know,” his mother said. “They used his phone to tape it and they put it up on Instagram.”

The Bay Village Police Department was made aware of the alleged incident on Wednesday. Det. Kevin Krolkosky said criminal charges could be filed.

“It’s disturbing to watch, you can obviously tell that somebody has been taking advantage of there,” he told the station.

A spokesperson for Bay High School said they’re now working with police as they investigate.

“Obviously, if possible, we do want to hold those individuals accountable for their actions,” Det. Krolkosky told the station.
