Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday she will likely decide whether to run for president in 2016 after the new year begins.
"I am going to be making a decision … probably after the first of the year about whether I'm going to run again or not," Mrs. Clinton said at an event in Mexico City, according to Reuters.
The political world has been waiting for Mrs. Clinton, a former secretary of state, U.S. senator and First Lady, to say whether she plans to make a second run at the White House after losing the Democratic nomination to President Obama in 2008.
Democrats have not been shy about making her the presumed frontrunner for 2016, and polls to date have shown her edging out Republican opponents in theoretical matchups.
