CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte police say they’ve accounted for the children of a woman shot to death in what police say was discord between people who knew each other.

Local media report that police said Monday they found the second of 29-year-old Alisa Mackey’s children. Mackey was killed Sunday after being shot several times inside her apartment.

Police traced tips to the home of 27-year-old Cameron Phillips a short distance away and SWAT teams surrounded his apartment for three hours. Officers eventually burst in to find Phillips dead from what they say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

One of Mackey’s children was found at the family’s apartment. The other child was missing, but was found by Monday morning.
