CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) - Cranston police say a recently released inmate robbed a Cranston hair salon and carjacked a vehicle occupied by a woman and her 1-year-old son.

Police say they’ve obtained an arrest warrant for Jerry Cintron on a charge of second-degree robbery.

Police say Cintron, who last lived in Pawtucket, may be driving a green 2003 BMW with Rhode Island registration 961902.

The 33-year-old Cintron, who was recently released from the Adult Correctional Institution, has a criminal history and is on probation. He’s accused of robbing the hair salon on March 29.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous
