TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Pierce County prosecutors say they now have charged the correct identical twin brother for robbing a grocery store in Roy in September.

The News Tribune says a robbery charge was dismissed against 21-year-old Jacob Johnston after his brother confessed.

Justin Johnston was charged Friday with first-degree robbery. He is to be arraigned April 17.

Court documents show he allegedly hid alcohol into his pants at a store, shoved the clerk when she tried to block him and rode off on a bicycle.

Records show their mother initially declined to help deputies identify the twin that committed the robbery but later told deputies it wasn’t Jacob.

Deputies listened to Jacob’s jail calls and then confronted Justin Johnston, who reportedly told police he never wanted his brother to go to jail but he was scared.
