FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams have both secured top 10 rankings.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association ranked the women’s team third and the men’s team seventh in its first outdoor rankings of the regular season. The women’s team moved up four spots from a preseason poll.

The women’s team earned four top-10 national marks last weekend at the Stanford Invitational. Dominique Scott broke the school record in the 10,000 meter race with a NCAA-leading time.

The men’s team finished with seven top-five finishes at the same competition.

Both teams return to their home track this weekend to host the John McDonnell Invitational.
