PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks is taking suggestions and comments until Friday on the current pheasant management plan that will be used to draft a new blueprint for the next five years.

Division of Wildlife director Tony Leif says the current plan in place since 2009 focused on building partnerships for habitat development while ensuring public access for pheasant hunting. It can be found online at: http://gfp.sd.gov/wildlife/docs/pheasant-mgmt-plan.pdf .

The new plan to be approved this year will be in effect until 2020.

Written comments to GFP in Pierre or emailed comments to pheasantplan@state.sd.us must be received by Friday and include the sender’s full name and city of residence.
