NEWPORT, Mich. (AP) - The family of a 22-year-old woman who disappeared from a Halloween party last year is waiting for test results from police on clothing found at an abandoned industrial site in southeastern Michigan.

Leannda Bruck at a news conference Wednesday in Newport asked people to give police space to do their work in the search for her daughter Chelsea Bruck.

The Maybee resident vanished from a party in Monroe County’s Frenchtown Township on Oct. 26. She was dressed as the comic villain Poison Ivy.

The sheriff’s department said this week that a state police crime lab was examining clothing and other evidence in the case found at an overgrown 60-acre site in Flat Rock in neighboring Wayne County.

Chelsea Bruck’s disappearance has prompted searches in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
