LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Lake Havasu City restaurant owner who pleaded guilty to assaulting four female employees now faces jail time and probation.

The Today’s News-Herald (http://goo.gl/RS94W4 ) newspaper in Lake Havasu City reported that 52-year-old Benny Lopez was sentenced Monday.

Defense attorney Garrett Smith said Lopez will serve a 180-day jail sentence and also serve three years of probation.

Court documents showed that Lopez agreed to plead guilty to four accounts of aggravated assault. Those charges were reduced from four counts of sexual abuse, which means he doesn’t have to register as a sex offender.

According to a police report, the assaults took place at Lopez’s restaurant and involved him inappropriately touching the employees and also making comments of sexual nature.

The report said at least one of the employees was a minor.
