LELAND, Miss. (AP) - Underage Leland residents now have an 8 p.m. curfew until the end of the school year.

The Delta Democrat Times reports (http://bit.ly/1yW5JGs) the curfew will require those 18 years and younger to be off the streets by 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and by 10:30 p.m. on weekends, until the end of the school year.

Police Chief Billy Barber says exact dates for the duration of the curfew have yet to be determined.

Those found out past the curfew will face a fine up to $500.

The board of aldermen approved the curfew on Monday.
