More than 6,000 veterans waited at least a month before getting medical treatment from September to February in the state, but a lower percentage in New Jersey faced delays that long compared to the country overall.

The figures come from an Associated Press review of government data from 940 facilities around the nation.

The data are listed according to facility; city; type; total appointments completed; care delayed at least 31 days; percent delayed at least 31 days; care delayed 31-60 days; care delayed 61-90 days; care delayed more than 90 days.

VAMC stands for Veterans Affairs medical center and CBOC means community based outpatient center.
