POPLARVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Authorities have charged four people in the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found in a vehicle on a Pearl River County road.

WDAM-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1PXcelD ) Chadrick Devon Daniel and Gerrod O’Neal Howard, both 20 and from Columbia, turned themselves Thursday at the sheriff’s office. Chief Deputy Shane Tucker says 22-year-old Kenneth Johnson Jr. and 23-year-old Gary J. Daughtry, both of Columbia, were arrested Thursday night by authorities in Marion County.

Howard is charged with murder and tampering with evidence.

Daniel, Johnson, and Daughtry are each charged with tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact of murder.

Tucker says 31-year-old Brandon Penry Jr., of Columbia, was shot Tuesday while in an SUV with the others. Tucker says the wrecked SUV with Penry’s body inside was found Wednesday.
