FARGO, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota State University is beginning its quest for a fifth straight Football Championship Subdivision title.

The four-time defending FCS champions open the season Saturday afternoon on the road against Montana. The two programs are among the winningest in FCS history.

NDSU has won the last four matchups against the Grizzlies, to take a 4-3 lead in the all-time series. The Bison won 22-10 last season in Fargo.

The battle is being aired on ESPN, with longtime sports broadcaster Brent Musburger calling the game. He’ll be joined by color commentator Jesse Palmer.

Game time is 1:30 p.m. Mountain and 2:30 p.m. Central.
