COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Alaina Coates had 22 points and 12 rebounds and No. 2 South Carolina beat Hampton 86-48 on Wednesday night for to its fourth straight 10-0 start.

Coates was coming off her first-ever triple double - and the program’s first since 2006 - against Winthrop with 29 points, 16 rebounds and a school-record 10 blocks. This time, Coates settled for her fourth double-double of the season and 26th overall to put away the Lady Pirates (1-8).

Virginia transfer Sarah Imovbioh had a season-high 19 points, and Tiffany Mitchell added 17 for the Gamecocks. Scoring leader A’ja Wilson missed her seecond straight game to because of shin splints.

Malia Tate-DeFreitas had 14 points to lead Hampton.

NO. 5 TEXAS 92, CANISIUS 62

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Imani Boyette had 15 points and 10 rebounds to help Texas beat Canisius.

The 6-foot-7 Boyette was 7 of 9 from the field. Lashann Higgs and Brooke McCarty added 14 points apiece for the Longhorns (9-0), and McCarty had assists.

Tiahana Mills led Canisius (6-3) with 13 points, and Margret Halfdanardottir had 11.

NO. 9 MISSISSIPPI STATE 78, SOUTHERN MISS 65

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Ketara Chapel and Morgan William each scored 17 points in Mississippi State’s victory over Southern Miss.

Dominique Dillingham added 15 points for the Bulldogs (8-1). Chinwe Okorie had 13 points and nine rebounds, and Victoria Vivians scored 10 points.

Jerontay Clemons led Southern Miss (6-3) with 24 points, and Brittanny Dinkins had 18.

NO. 15 STANFORD 69, NO. 14 TENNESSEE 55

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Lili Thompson scored 19 points, Erica McCall had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Stanford held off Tennessee.

Kaylee Johnson added 10 points to help the Cardinal (7-2) beat the Lady Vols (7-3) for the fifth staight time at home. Diamond DeShields and Jaime Nared each scored 12 for Tennessee.
