BEND, Ore. (AP) - A dog adopted from Afghanistan has gone missing from her Oregon home.

The Bend Bulletin reports (http://bit.ly/1Oyw9Vv ) that the 4-year-old Sage Kuchi named Hope was adopted through Puppy Rescue Mission, a program that brings pets to the U.S. from war zones. Hope went missing from her home outside Prineville earlier this month.

Ryan and James McCumber own Hope and six other dogs. They say a few animals escaped through a gate at their home, but the other dogs returned and Hope did not.

The McCumbers put up fliers and say they’ve had three reported sightings of Hope so far, all within about a mile of home.

But Ryan McCumber says she worries about Hope being outside in such cold temperatures.
