BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The driver of a car found upside down and submerged in a reservoir near Nederland was found dead after he apparently tried to walk away from the crash.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports (http://goo.gl/LBMeyg ) the car was found near the shore of Barker Reservoir on Thursday morning. Dive teams searched the freezing water but did not immediately find any bodies.

Searchers found the body of 43-year-old David Dubie, of Littleton, about three hours later on the opposite shore.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis says a video of the crash, possibly from the nearby Barker Dam, shows the crash happened late Wednesday night.

No other cars were involved, and it appears no other passengers were in the vehicle. It’s unclear what caused the crash.
