DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Police say a Des Moines man suffered a head injury after four masked men broke into his home.

The Des Moines Register reports (http://dmreg.co/1YkSHU7 ) that the home invasion and robbery happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday just west of Drake University.

The 20-year-old victim told police he heard his backdoor open. When he went to investigate, police say, he found four masked men. The victim says one of the men pointed a black handgun at him and ordered him to get on the ground. Another person who lives in the house says the victim tried to fight the intruders and was hurt when the armed man hit him in the head with the gun.

Police say several electronic items were stolen.

Police are searching for suspects in the case.
