WARREN, Ohio (AP) - A 16-year-old northeast Ohio boy has been indicted on charges that include aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and attempted rape for the March 31 slaying of a 94-year-old neighbor.

Charges against the teen from Niles were bound over from a family court to Trumbull County Common Pleas Court late last month. The indictment was filed Wednesday. Niles is about 70 miles southeast of Cleveland.

The Warren Tribune Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1YkUTeg ) that the teen is charged with killing Marie Belcastro. The newspaper reports that the teen, who was 15 at the time of the slaying, was released from a juvenile detention center the day Belcastro was killed.

The Trumbull County coroner ruled that Belcastro died from a blow to the head.

The teen’s attorney didn’t return telephone messages seeking comment on Thursday.
