CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Operation Christmas Child, the Christian charity headed by Franklin Graham, says it’s excluding Harry Potter and Pokemon toys from its 2.4 million boxes that are sent to children all over the world.

The Charlotte Observer reports (http://bit.ly/1MkxT2Y) the boxes are sent in by churchgoers and others, who fill them with everything from toys and toothbrushes to socks and scarves for children to receive in time for Christmas. Those donating shoe boxes filled with gifts shouldn’t bother to include anything featuring Harry Potter or Pokemon, as inspectors have been instructed to remove them.

Operation Christmas Child Assistant Director Joey White says there’s a possibility Harry Potter and Pokemon could interfere with the group’s ministry “to share the love of Christ with kids around the world.”
