ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - A Rock Hill woman who felt compelled to “bless” people approached shoppers at Sam’s Club and bought them gifts.

Janice Jones, a 65-year-old retiree, tells The Herald (http://bit.ly/1IY5gxN) that on Tuesday, God told her to seek people out and try to help them.

Jones approached Lacy Hoover and her two children at Sam’s Club, saying she wanted to bless them. Hoover said the family wanted a new television, but it wasn’t in their budget. Jones pulled out cash and paid for a new flat-screen TV. She paid for everything in Hoover’s cart, then gave Hoover $10 in change.

Jones later went to see Dorothea Crawford, a 72-year-old woman also living on a fixed income, and helped her pay her bills.

Jones only asked for the recipients of her blessings to help others in return.
