CINCINNATI (AP) - Ohio transportation authorities have added a southbound Interstate 75 overnight shutdown near Cincinnati that will begin Saturday night.

State transportation department officials have had a series of full closures the last two weeks for bridge work. The latest will start at 11 p.m. Saturday, with planned re-opening by 5 a.m.

The closure at Ohio State Route 562 just north of Cincinnati will necessitate detours. Drivers heading toward downtown Cincinnati and Kentucky will be detoured to westbound Interstate 275 to eastbound I-74, and then back onto I-75 southbound.

The southbound I-75 ramp to eastbound State Route 562 will remain open. The highway is also called the Norwood Lateral.

Transportation officials say message boards and signs will alert motorists. Weather conditions could cause schedule changes.
