KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) - A Benton County judge has ruled that a 15-year-old teen allegedly involved in the kidnapping an elderly woman will be tried as an adult in the case.

The Tri-City Herald reports (http://goo.gl/TJNU0n) Judge Robert Swisher made the decision Wednesday. The boy has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, burglary and theft in the Nov. 2 incident.

A 16-year-old boy also faces the same charges as an adult. A 14-year-old girl faces those charges in juvenile court.

Court documents say the teens kidnapped the woman at her Kennewick home, stuffed her in the trunk of her car and drove more than 200 miles to a Walmart near Portland. While stopped, the woman was able to escape the trunk and get help.

One of the teens is the great-grandson of the 86-year-old victim.
