PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The FBI spent several hours searching a Providence market, although it’s not clear what they were looking for.

WLNE-TV (http://bit.ly/1N42RxO ) reports that agents on Wednesday searched Oasis Market and Grill, located on a busy street across from Central and Classical high schools. The market’s website says it sells Middle Eastern foods, halal meats and hookah pipes.

The station reports that agents presented a warrant and were seen in the business for several hours before leaving with a box around 3 p.m.

The FBI tells the station it was conducting court-authorized activity in connection with a federal investigation. It did not release further details.

A phone call to the market on Thursday rang unanswered, as did a call to a listing for the shop’s owner.
