ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - An annual effort to raise money, food and awareness for food banks has rolled its way through the Detroit area.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train stopped in Windsor, Ontario, before crossing into the U.S. and making its way to the Detroit suburb of Allen Park.

MLive.com reports (http://bit.ly/21xO48j ) hundreds of onlookers gathered on Wednesday night in Michigan to get a glimpse of the train’s box cars that are lit with blinking lights.

Two trains kicked off the effort last month. Canadian Pacific says they’re visiting dozens of communities across the U.S. and Canada.
