ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a body has been found in a western New York river.

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports (http://on.rocne.ws/1NLae2M ) Rochester police responded around 2:15 p.m. Thursday after a Customs and Border Protection agent noticed the body in the Genesee River under the Col. Patrick O’Rorke Bridge.

The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body. Authorities believe the body is a male of an unknown age.

The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the man and determine the cause of death.
