SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Santa Fe police have arrested a 15-year-old Santa Fe High School student, saying the student threatened to bring a gun to school on Snapchat.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://goo.gl/6Ne7sX ) that the boy has been charged with a felony after he brought a BB gun to school. He has been placed in a juvenile detention center.

The boy sent a Snapchat photo on Thursday of himself holding a gun with the caption saying he was about to go “shoot up” the school. A student who received the snap reported the threat.

School officials identified the suspect who sent the photo and police arrested the boy when they arrived on campus. Officers found the pellet gun inside his vehicle.
