CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The latest information on three people found dead in a home on the south side of Charlotte.

7:25 p.m.

Police have identified the three men whose bodies were found in a house on the south side of Charlotte.

A statement from police on Friday said the victims were identified as 29-year-old Naquivs Aqueece Benson; 28-year-old Jarvis Mandrell Benson and 30-year-old Javarius Deshawn McGee.

McGee’s birthday was on Thursday.

A previous statement from police said detectives received a call around 10:28 p.m. Friday. Patrol officers responding to the scene found three men inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds.

The men were pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.

Authorities say the names of the victims will be released once family members are notified.

Detectives were canvassing the neighborhood to try to find witnesses to the incident.

Emergency medical service workers in Charlotte say three people have been found dead in a home on the south side of the city.

Medic did not offer any details in its initial statement late Friday morning.

Multiple media outlets reported that Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney was at the scene near Pineville with a number of officers.

The home is near Sterling Elementary School but a school system spokesman says the school is not on lockdown.

Police have not released any information about what happened. The victims’ names have not been released.
