GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Bruce Beckford made the go-ahead free throw with 11 seconds left and scored all 16 of his points in the second half, leading North Carolina A&T; to a 66-63 comeback win over Howard on Saturday.

Beckford added 10 rebounds for A&T; (3-7, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which won its third in a row after an 0-7 start to the season.

Howard (5-3, 0-1) led by as many as 10 in the second half, but Beckford’s layup with 2:07 left knotted the game at 61 and capped a 14-4 run for the Aggies.

After a dunk by Joshea Singleton put A&T; up two, James Daniel III hit free throws No. 14 and 15 to tie it again 63-63. Beckford made one of two free throws with 10 seconds left to make it 64-63, and Daniel III missed a 3-pointer with one second left.

Daniel III finished with a game-high 28 points.
