PEABODY, Mass. (AP) - Police have arrested six people who were found at a Peabody home authorities allege was a den of drugs and prostitution.

The six suspects, five women and one man, are expected to be arraigned Monday on drug possession and sex trafficking charges. One of those arrested is listed as the homeowner.

The arrests were made Friday after a three-month investigation prompted in part by anonymous tips from the public.

Local police were assisted by the FBI’s human trafficking division.

Police Chief Thomas Griffin said he was “extremely pleased” with the public’s cooperation in ridding the city of “despicable acts.”

The homeowner, a 48-year-old woman, was charged with drug possessions, being the keeper of a noisy and disorderly house, and trafficking in persons for sexual servitude.
