CINCINNATI (AP) - Motorists heading south on Interstate 75 through Cincinnati will face detours during overnight hours starting later this week.

Ohio transportation authorities say a full closure of southbound I-75 will take place starting at 11 p.m. EST Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday at Ohio State Route 562 just north of Cincinnati. The full closure will also be in place 11 p.m.-5 a.m. each night of the week Dec. 14.

Traffic will be detoured to westbound Interstate 275 to eastbound I-74 and then onto Interstate 75 southbound.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says message boards and signs will alert motorists. Weather conditions can result in construction schedule changes.
