ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (AP) - Police say two men were injured in a shooting on Long Island over the weekend.

Newsday reports (https://nwsdy.li/1m6vi7I ) police received a ShotSpotter alert in Roosevelt just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

While investigating, officers learned that a hospital was treating a 23-year-old Central Islip man for a gunshot wound to the arm.

Soon after, another hospital told police they were treating a 22-year-old man who was potentially a second victim from the same shooting. Authorities say he suffered minor abrasions, possibly from gunshot fragments.

Police say both victims are refusing to cooperate with investigators.

It’s unclear if police have any suspects.
