NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a man who admitted robbing a New Jersey bank while dressed in a disguise has been sentenced to nearly six years in prison.

Jorge Rodriguez, of South River, had pleaded guilty last summer to robbing a TD Bank branch in Saddle Brook in April 2013. His sentence was handed down Tuesday.

Rodriguez entered the bank wearing a disguise, which included a hat with a dreadlocks wig attached to it. He then brandished a BB air pistol and handed a bag to a teller and said, “Give me the money or I’ll shoot. You have two seconds.”

The teller complied and Rodriguez fled with the bag of money, which also included a dye pack. He was captured a short time later, after the dye pack exploded.
