BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police and others are responding to numerous motor vehicle accidents across the state.

They say slick road conditions continued to be extremely hazardous Tuesday morning, following Monday’s storm.

They say the majority of the incidents are the result of drivers going too fast for current road conditions and following too closely.

One trouble spot was Interstate 89 northbound and southbound between the Colchester weigh station and Exit 13, where traffic was at a standstill early Tuesday due to cars off the road and other accidents.
