NELSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in western Michigan say a car’s driver became distracted and crashed into the rear of a stopped school bus, leaving four people with minor injuries.

The Kent County sheriff’s department says at least three of those hurt in Tuesday afternoon’s crash were students from Cedar Springs middle and high schools.

The department says the crash happened about 2:45 p.m. in Nelson Township, about two miles east of Cedar Springs. It says those injured included two 16-year-old students in the car and a student on the bus.
