SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah’s all-Republican congressional delegation is reacting with anticipated disapproval of President Obama’s State of the Union address.

Sen. Orrin Hatch says the president demonstrated his unwillingness once again to set politics aside to work together to find lasting solutions for the American people.

The chairman of the Senate Finance Committee says Obama’s tax proposals are unrealistic and will go nowhere in Congress.

Sen. Mike Lee says Republicans shouldn’t waste time even debating Obama’s ideas and should instead seize their new opportunity as the majority to create jobs and improve the economy.

Congressman Rob Bishop says Obama’s proposal to provide free access to community colleges sounds good, but would cost taxpayers too much and put the focus on education back in Washington D.C. instead of at the local level where it belongs.
