CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say a man was killed when he was hit by a commuter train.

Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman Tammy Chase tells the Chicago Sun-Times (https://bit.ly/1xHGKI2) that the northbound Red Line train struck the man about 3 a.m. at a station.

Police said the victim later was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.

The CTA says train traffic resumed about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
