COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - The State Board of Pardons and Paroles is offering crime victims in the Columbus area a chance to speak with board members.

Board spokesman Steve Hayes say crime victims will be able to meet with board members Jan. 7 at the Columbus Government Center Plaza to discuss their offender’s parole status.

Officials say the event is coordinated by the Georgia Department of Corrections and the board’s Office of Victim Services.

Officials say crime victims should RSVP for the event with the Office of Victim Services.
