DENVER (AP) - In a story July 14 about a car hijacking death, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the suspect sought by police was a man. He is a 16-year-old boy who is expected to be charged as an adult.

DENVER (AP) - An arrest warrant has been issued after a 41-year-old man was killed while trying to stop an attempted car theft in Denver.

The Denver Post reports (http://goo.gl/V5Evp2) police are looking for 16-year-old Israel “Izzy” Alvarado in connection with the death of William Romo-Rodriguez on Tuesday. Investigators say Romo-Rodriguez was ejected from his vehicle while trying to stop Alvarado from stealing it in southwest Denver

Police believe Alvarado may be in the Colorado Springs area. He is expected to be charged as an adult with first-degree murder.
