JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Three men have been rescued after dangling precariously on the side of a Jacksonville jail after a thunderstorm tipped their scaffolding.

Fire-rescue officials said the three men were saved by their safety harnesses as they dangled high alongside the Duval County jail on Thursday. The motor broke in the scaffolding, sending it three stories higher.

The Florida Times-Union (http://tinyurl.com/p774fkj) reports a co-worker used a portable lift to reach one of the men. Fire rescue officials attached more safety lines to the men to help them down.

The unidentified victims were working on a weatherstripping project at the jail. None of the men were injured.
