ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - A former Madison, Alabama pediatrician - and former Miss Auburn - has been accused, alongside her husband, of running a pill mill outside of Atlanta.

Multiple media outlets report that Dr. TaShawna Stokes was indicted Monday on numerous charges related to the pain clinic her husband, Dr. Oscar Stokes, ran in Roswell, Georgia.

The clinic was raided by federal investigators in August 2014. Authorities say the two wrote prescriptions for narcotics such as oxycodone without conducting thorough examinations of patients. Authorities say they TaShawna Stokes, who is listed as a Kennesaw pediatrician, would forge her husband’s name on some prescriptions.

Al.com (http://bit.ly/1V7yZHm ) reports that TaShawna Stokes was named Miss Auburn in 2001, serving as the university’s official hostess. It was not immediately clear if either has hired an attorney.
