JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Three workers are breathing a sigh of relief after being safely rescued from the side of a Jacksonville jail where they dangled precariously in safety harnesses after a thunderstorm tipped their scaffolding.

Fire-rescue officials said the motor broke in the scaffolding, sending it three stories higher, causing the men to dangle high along the side of the Duval County Jail on Thursday.

The Florida Times-Union (http://tinyurl.com/p774fkj) reports a co-worker used a portable lift to reach one of the men. Fire rescue officials attached more safety lines to the men to help them down.

The unidentified victims were working on a weatherstripping project at the jail. None of the men were injured.
