FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A mock disaster drill is planned at Hector International Airport in Fargo.

KFGO-AM reports the airport’s fire department and area emergency personnel are staging a large-scale mock aircraft accident Tuesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration requires the airport to have the drills every three years in order to be certified to handle commercial airline service.

The mock disaster involves an airliner with 66-passengers and four crew members that crashes on takeoff. Volunteers will act as victims of the crash.
